Straight Flute Taps
We are a Supplier of Straight Flute Taps, also known as “Hand Taps,” designed for short-chipping materials, such as cast iron. Straight Flute Taps are harder than high-speed steel, cobalt, and powdered-metal straight flute taps. These taps provide excellent hear resistance and can be used for tapping hard materials at high speeds. A straight Flute Tap is rotated into a hole to create threads; the chip moves into the flutes but is not evacuated.
The Taps are suitable for both through and blind holes. The chips produced are short, or powder type with the help of a special design provided in the tap.
